Services & Fees

Prenatal Care

The biggest aspect of prenatal care is education. I work with each client to tailor to your specific needs. I make sure that you are fully informed with balanced information to empower you to make the best decisions for you and your family.

All prenatal visits are scheduled for one full hour. The visit includes pertinent educational information, screening or testing if elected, and an exam.

Initial appointments are scheduled anywhere from 9 to 12 weeks (preferably). All appointments are at my home office unless otherwise noted.

Monthly exams until week 28.

Bimonthly exams unitl week 36.

One Home visit at 36 weeks.

Weekly exams until delivery.

Frequency of exams can be modified per request.

All standard obstetrical prenatal screening/testing is available.

Birth

I attend you at your home in labor through the birth of your baby.

You will be able to purchase your birth kit around a month before your due date. I will bring all other supplies including emergency supplies (covered in detail upon registration).

I stay with you and your baby until you are both stable, breastfeeding well, and we are all comfortable with my departure.

Postpartum

Postpartum visits include an exam of both mom and baby.

For the first postpartum visit, I will come to your home roughly 24 hours after the birth of your baby.

I will come to your home a second time roughly three to four days after the birth.

I will do 3 more postpartum visits at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks in my home office. I can do more or less again, depending on specific needs.

Fees

The global fee for home birth services is $3000.

The global fee includes prenatal care, the birth, assistant fee, postpartum care, and a 24/7 on call service. It also includes 1 OB Panel blood test, 1 Urinalysis/Urine Culture, GBS Swab, and Newborn Screen. It does not include the birth kit, or any other testing/screening laboratory fees.

A 10% discount is awarded to cash-pay clients paying in full by 32 weeks gestation.

A $250, nonrefundable deposit is required at the first prenatal visit. This will be deducted from the global fee.
